We love our team and are so proud when others see how great they are too. This year, we are pleased to have two of our best and brightest recognized by ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards—alongside several NetDocuments customers and partners.
NetDocuments co-founder and CTO, Alvin Tedjamulia, was one of three finalists for the ILTA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Over the course of his 35+ year career, Alvin has been innovating legal technology and pushing the envelope to benefit legal professionals. Technologies he developed 20 and even 30 years ago are still relied upon by hundreds of thousands of legal professionals worldwide. He has demonstrated continual commitment to maximizing the value of technology and advancing standards for the legal industry.
Alvin is a prolific—and memorable—legal tech speaker, author, and commentator. His eccentric and colorful presentations are (in)famous among the legal community, whether in live conference sessions, podcasts, or videos.
In addition to being CTO and co-founder of NetDocuments, Alvin is also the co-founder of SoftSolutions; founder of ODMA (Open Document Management API); founder and board member of DMA (Document Management Alliance); and a member of the board for Open Doc and the Java Guidance Committee.
So what has made Alvin so successful?
“I have surrounded myself with smart, hard-working professionals who are equally enthusiastic when it comes to trying new things,” he says. “People who not only appreciate learning, but enjoy sharing their experiences and success with others in our legal community.”
We are lucky to have someone like Alvin leading the NetDocuments team, and congratulate him on his nomination! Joining him as a finalist and awardee was Judith Flournoy of Kelley Drye & Warren lLP, a NetDocuments customer—congrats!
NetDocuments’ Director of Product Marketing, Michelle Lundberg, was listed as one of ILTA’s Young Professionals to Watch.
As the first product marketing hire, Michelle has built the function from the ground up and now leads a team of product marketers who work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product and Engineering, Customer Success, and Partner teams to get our products into the hands of those who need them. She and her team works tirelessly to solve problems, understand customer needs (and wants), and find opportunities to improve.
Michelle’s commitment to integrity and professionalism set her apart: “Facing industry or business challenges (versus attempting to avoid or look away from them) is a key part of the respect and understanding that undergird professionalism,” she says. “True professionals work to find solutions and leave things better than they found them.”
We’re thrilled to have Michelle on our team and see her hard work recognized by ILTA.
We’re proud to have such outstanding professionals as part of the NetDocuments team. Alvin, Michelle, and those recognized by ILTA in recent years truly know what it means to not merely work hard, but to work inspired, and with their help, we’re spreading Work Inspired across the legal industry.
